After our second child my wife informed me I needed to get snipped. I told her it was not going to happen. She informed me we were not going to have sex again until i did. I then informed her that maybe WE were not, but I **** sure was. Still not an option to this day, some things in life you don't take chances with.

It was the easiest thing I have ever done. Hour after the procedure I was at Cabelas. As with any surgery, there can be complications.

No man should have to go through that. It's much easier for the wife to get her tubes tied.
After my last child I got my tubes tied quick and easy. I love my husband to much to put him through a vasectomy. Ouch

Day 6: Something is very wrong. My right side feels fine, but my left nut is swollen to the size of an orange. I am in a LOT of pain. I call the Dr. I call again. I call again. I get through and they have me come in. Turns out I had a small “complication” with the recovery. They give me more meds and I go home and hit the ice again. Ice, then hot bath. Over and over.

This line makes me want to go postal. I had complications also. They claim 99% are pain/complication free BUT they do not count most cases where a simple anitbiotic solves the problem.

And for all the guys who say they were pain free.. Great. You have NO IDEA how close to mind numbing pain you were. It's not because you're tougher, it's because you either had a better doctor or got lucky.

wow!! you should save that when guys ask about getting cut. Probably rare but you are proof of it does happen....glad you are doing better.

I can not advise enough.. Do you research..A lot of it. Do not ever never just go where your buddies went because 2 or 3 say it was easy. Playing russian roulette the first 2-5 guys may tout how safe it is, but if you get the turn with the bullet..well....

Read other internet stories on this. Google vasectomies gone bad etc. It's not a joke at all. I can not prove it but from all my research 2-5% have pain for years. Doctors try to say it's phantom or in their head (making it up) pain. 15-20% have serious short term pain and/or infections.

Good luck. After my scare, you would have to shoot me dead to get me to do that again. You may laugh or think it's not that bad, but imagine loosing it's ability for the rest of your life. If you think that may be happening you freak out LOL trust me. Seems like life may be over.

Ive had people tell me it feels like getting kicked in the nads! But this! Dude, get well soon. Nowhere near contemplating this!
