You guys are all wimps. This was the best surgery I've ever had. You don't need to be knocked out... That is ridiculous. Also having any fear of complications is overblown. Go to a good Urologist who does this surgery commonly.

Be a real man.... For a woman to get her tubes tied or to get a hysterectomy is a far more complicated surgery, with a higher chance of complications, and a much longer recovery time. Do it for your wife's sake!

My gosh, I am still cringing!!! I was afraid it was going to be like my friends, his was during a storm and they had just gotten into the inner workings when they lost all their electricity! Finally was able to scrounge up a flashlight to finish by.

Sorry to hear this..mine went without a hitch. Only felt a little pressure a time or two, did have some swelling for a couple days but nothing too bad.

sorry to hear. Mine went better but left side not a healthy as the right twin. Had my plumbing rerouted bout 30 yrs ago and if I had to do it again, I wouldn't. Hope you have a better recovery.

Sorry this happen to you.
The worst part for me was the anticipation. I almost made myself sick just thinking about it. I got the sedative an hour before, was done pretty fast and recovery was quick. My docs name was Richard (Di*k) Chopp. Scary name but very good at what he does.

I feel your pain man. Granted my pain didn't last that long but I had to wear sweat pants to work for two weeks. Took a little longer for the swelling on the left side to go down. Funny part is that I was short on cash so had the brother in law perform the procedure. He just used a local so I got to watch the whole thing. Once I was all prepped, he decided it was going to be a training exercise. He did one side and his partner did the other side. Guess which side he did. Yep, the left. I just figured he was rougher on me to get back at me for sleeping with his sister.
