these stories are crazy.... I was in and out in no time, No pain at all that I recall Slight at most discomfort of a pulling/Squeezing feel when they pulled and clipped. No stiches, no knocking me out. I think I tried to get a little sympathy from wife next day or two but she could tell I was fine. No missed work. Easy simple and pain free.
I would highly recommend it to anyone- Based on MY experience

I remember having this done some years ago, seemed like the doc was tying flies down there for a few minutes. Of course he said that was the biggest wooly bugger he had seen in years.
We have fly fished together since then, and to be honest. He did not catch a dang thing on his own ties flies.
Great write up.

Funny story, and scary at the same time. Having an infection of that magnitude in that region is just scary as heck.
I had mine on a Friday. Was sore through the weekend, mostly in the kidneys. I was back at work Monday and back riding my bike by Wednesday.
I did it because it's a simpler procedure for men than women. I never got special treatment for it from the wife. All in all it was quick and easy. That was eight years ago. I've never had an infection or regretted the decision. I did get tired of frozen peas though!
BTW, getting the injection in the testicles for the local anesthetic was probably the worst part. That hurt...

I had a very similar experience 25 years ago. It must be something about lefties. I had surgery on Friday and went to fish a tournament the next Tuesday - Saturday. While fishing my lefty started to swell. I did not think I was going to be able to drive my self home (200 Miles) but made it some how. My lefty did not stop producing. It was as big as my fist and hurt like ##$%. Spent another week off work with heating pad and pain meds till it went down.
