Y'all would hate the lease I'm on and the people I share it with.

It is a pass time not life or death. We have fun, are safe, and respect each other.

The last regular lease I was on had just 3 rules. Don't shoot the live stock, don't cut the live oaks and don't be an a**hole.

            1) If he's not 16 years old you can't shoot him
            2) If he is 16 and the land owner's son in law (who never ever ever hunts) likes him don't shoot him
            3) Leave $600 worth of canned goods outside the camp house every time you leave camp
            4) You MUST feed $5,000 in corn and protein every month in order to keep your community spot
            5) 1st year on the lease is an extra $5,000 and goes down $100/ a year after the origional dues are paid

Those are the S. Tx rules

              That is my #1

I will add shoot what you are happy with. Only shoot it if you would mount it.

And keep the rules to a minimum. Too many makes takes the fun out of it.

                1. Everyone works. You don't work..you don't hunt.
                2. I don't care what your dad says, coors light is not beer and will not be considered an acceptable replacement for my beer that you drank.
                3. If the kids are at the lease, no sighting in rifles during nap time.
                4. Vehicles stay on travel lanes and senderos only.
                5. The hoho's are mine. Do not touch.

You can make all the rules you want, but until you decide what the penalty will be for breaking those rules, its all talk..
