Rule #1, don't get on a lease with guys that you have to have all these rules.

Not to be a Debbie downer but even the best group of hunters need lease rules.

1. Harvest rules concerning numbers and age structure
2. No driving around sets during hunting hours
3. Housekeeping: gates, trash, common supplies
4. Game laws
5. No drunks

If it were only that simple...

We have a great group but through the years there have been folks that have been brought in that require us to make changes because unbeknownst to us and previous lease managers, it was their human nature to push the envelope. With rules in print and required signatures, we know everybody is informed, on the same page and there is no excuse for "doing wrong" ....

My lease rules
#1 any bucks over 130 must only be shot by me. If you see one that fits this description report to me and I will shoot it as promptly as I can. If you don't your off the lease!
#2 You are responsible for keeping all feeders full and operating smoothly. If I sit at a stand waiting for the feeder to go off and it doesn't, your off the lease!
#3 Make yourself avilable for the recovery and skinning of my kills. If I can't find you or if you are too hard to find when I need you, your off the lease!
#4 You must have all meals ready to eat when I get hungry. Failure to know when I am hungry, your off the lease!
#5 You must pay for Our lease 2 seasons in advance so I don't have to worry about finding a new lease. If I have to find a new lease then your off the lease!

These are real broad and would probably be broken down into multiple rules but heres a shot.

1. Create a long term hunting opportunity for All lease members in good standing by maximizing the lease/ranch wildlife management program.
2. Create a fun and safe atmosphere for all lease members to enjoy the outdoors.
3. Create a guest policy that all members can abide by and will not deter enjoyment of lease members.
4. Define in detail a "lease member in good standing".
