I take a lot of pictures for the 2-3 good ones I actually get. It’s tough getting them in the frame when they decide to jump, tail walk, or head shake.

Wading, makes it much easier than being in a boat.
Other than that, I really don’t know.

I didn't think they were all that great. Thanks for the compliments Gents.

Little PSA!! The hydraulic fluid that comes with the power pole is knows to break down and is supposed to be changed yearly. I was having issues with mine and the filters were gummed up and it not work great and was getting stuck. Took the reservoir off and cleaned the filters and new fluid and works good as new again.

Got a few reds Saturday along the grass line. Got (4) slot fish and a couple dozen 17-19''er's. That area will be loaded with slot fish in the fall. Click image for larger version

Interesting! Mine is from 2015 lol. I did put some transmission fluid or something in there because it got low. Somehow something broke the reservoir cap so ran without a cap for the last two years. Got pretty nasty in that compartment but I finally got the cap replaced. It's been a little week pulling it back up but I just figured I needed to bleed it. I wonder if they're using some organic fluid or something.

It is a green organic type fluid from my research. To change the fluid and clean the filters its a 30 minute job at best. I went back with a ISO 32 fluid not the green marine crap they use. I used brake clean to clean the filters just be careful they are almost like paper. Bringing the pole back up is where I was having issues.

Noe, most of the rust & contamination in it was between the spool & drive pinion bearing. Quite a bit of rust in the ARB also. **** screws were super tight in the housing.

More and more, i think I’m just going to put my old DSV’s back in rotation.

When I lived back home, I’d fish 3-5 days a week. I’d go 2-3 months before wiping them down. At worst I’d have to replace the bearings, at most the anti reverse. But that was the extent of their repairs.
