This morning on the radio they were talking to a meat association group. They pointed out that the more we eliminate meat and dairy from our diets, the more heart problems and obesity go up. They asked, why hasn't anyone questioned this over the last 50 years?? They also pointed out that in groups that ate primarily red meat and dairy in their diets had the lowest cholesterol, lowest obesity, and lowest heart risk of any other group.

That said, don't just go carnivore all at once over night. That will likely lead to heavy oxalate dumping, which could make it worse for a while. If you decide to go carnivore, do it gradually over 3-4 months. Listen to Sally Norton, a nutritionist that understands oxalates and the harm they cause better than just about anybody else around. She has a great book on the subject.

I don't know if any of y'all like eating tortilla chips like I did but I found a great chip that is grain free and that taste great! All natural ingredients and HEB carries the brand. They make other products as well.

And don't use artificial "healthy" sweeteners in place of sugar. They can still trigger an insulin response just from the sweet taste. They'll just keep the addiction going. Don't eat anything sweet. Snack on pork rinds or jerky. Eat lots of fatty meat when you're having a meal. Fat will make you satiated, and that will help reduce cravings.
