Carnivore diet

    Been on it for 6 weeks and dropped right at 20lbs, did blood work this week and my cholesterol dropped from 121 to 48. See my Dr Friday morning to get his opinion. Only Carbs i have had was Miller lite lol. And the first 3 weeks i fasted for 16-20 hours a day.

      Ok guys, started my Carnivore. What types of spirits can you have? Specifically, can you have whiskey and Anejo Tequila?

            That's great to hear. I don't need to lose weight, but my cholesterol is pretty high. All my other bloodwork is great. But I have noticed I feel lethargic a lot and turn to sugar for the boost. Which is the worst thing! I'm not sure this diet is what I need. Maybe all I need to do is avoid the sugar addiction

                  I am the same. I did not turn to sugar but felt ran down. I started eating half a sweet potato now and again at lunch and that helped

                    Did carnivore for about 6-months pretty strict. Main thing I noticed was my back felt better than it ever has. Unfortunately my love for carbs took over and I haven’t gotten back on the wagon yet.

                      I have fell off the last week and a half. Need to get back going . Lost 35 lbs and just stopped losing .

                          Lost 20lbs in 45 days. Off for the holidays will be back on in January. Felt really good, less inflamed, and quit snoring.

                            Do any of you guys eat ground beef? Or is all the red meat mainly stakes? Also lots of eggs with the yoke, or egg whites? Any dairy ……..

                              I eat ribeye, NY strip, filet, hamburger, liver (about once a week), elk, deer, bison, fajitas, sausage, bacon, salmon and other seafood occasionally. I eat eggs occasionally, but not often since I have an autoimmune disease that they can work against. Otherwise, I'd eat them every day. I don't eat dairy for the same reason, but I still eat a little cheese every now and then. Oh, and pork rinds are great. I cook everything in ghee or beef tallow with sea salt. No other seasoning. I have come to prefer salt only. I don't like the taste of pepper and other seasonings much anymore. Salt is awesome.

                              The last couple of months, I've added back some berries, coconut cream, sauerkraut, and avocado.

                              I drink water (still and sparkling) with lemon or lime and/or unsweetened electrolyte powder. I drink bone broth with creatine and collagen and ghee.

                                We eat a lot of ground beef. We get the highest fat content we can.

                                We make beef bowls, with homemade taco seasonings or just a salt, pepper and other miscellaneous herbs and spices. Also do a lot of smash burgers with cheese. Cheese on a lot of things.

                                Also use sour cream on stuff and heavy cream for cooking. I believe high fat content is needed. We could be wrong in this though and not "true carnivore", but it helps break up the meals
