I sure hope there is a ****pile of birds still in Canada or else the other interpretation of all of this is not good lol
If anyone made it out this morning I hope yall hammered them! I might head out mid day to hammer some snipe...

He likes box blinds with good windows, heaters with plenty of propane, sacks full of snacks, and a nice accurate rifle.
He called me a couple of days ago and said, "I want to go kill some ducks with you". As you could imagine, I'm EXCITED. I went and did a little trimming to try to give us the best chance as possible, and we'll give it a go monday morning. Like christmas morning, i cant wait.

The truth is finally coming to fruition. Maybe we’ll make some season framework and limit framework next year that makes sense. We are missing half the mallards we had 7 years ago and I’m sure the other populations are struggling too. Time to set seasons and limits based on the resource and not the survival of industry.

But early teal will be reduced to 9 days this September

Sucks how they do AHM too, I remember when they implemented that as a young kid. They set it based on that year. Money ruins everything and that’s exactly what’s happening here. The dollar matters more than the resource. Shorter seasons mean less state dollars, less federal dollars and less dollars for businesses in the industry. Ironically those industries and dollars go away if there’s no resource anyways. Glad to see people waking up. Lot of the duck hunters in that 40-60 year range are quitting. The hunting has declined to the point it isn’t worth going for many of them when there’s a heated box with a feeder in front of it. Less hunters is good for pressure and competition right? Wrong. Those are the hunters with money for conservation and they’re leaving… the junior flat billers ain’t got anything to contribute in volume.
