they definitely need to maintain the grid better

We came close to rolling blackouts last summer when we had many 100 degree days in a row so I must admit my confidence is low. I will hope for the best but prepare for the worst. We need to build more Natural Gas fired Power Plants and we need them ASAP! It is a fact that the Solar and Wind segment of power generation in our State will not satisfy our electrical needs as it has failed to do so in recent history. Just my opinion

OK
one more time
ercot only manages the power on the grid in texas. they dont create or eliminate power. individual power companies are responsible for clearing their transmission lines.
your politicians are responsible for the poor state of the grid. they have had years to create opportunities for more power plants and none have been built. they had the opportunity to force power companies to upgrade transmission lines but have done nothing. it's not a democrat or republican thing,it's a politician thing.
factor in the feds and epa and u have a 4 star cluster
