A great warranty isn't worth a flip at 10,000 feet and optics you can't see through. Vortex may be just fine, but Zeiss, Swarovski, Leica they are not. Quality optics are usually very important in most mountain hunting situations

I have the first lite puffy and I love that thing. The problem with the kuiu one is it doesn't work well for a outer shell if you need to wear it as one. The first lite one is really tough and I have hiked through some nasty stuff without many holes or tears

If I wore my guide jacket and pants. 200 peloton base layers and maybe my 145 base layers, with that FL puffy, how cold you think I could hunt in for whitetails in a stand? I know moving around I'll be warm.

It fits true to size and packs up small but not as small as the kuiu. I have been obsessed with mine for whitetail. I throw it under a fleece or guide type jacket and it is super quiet. The jacket will do its job keeping you warm. When I get cold whitetail hunting it is my feet normally so how cold you can go will depend on a few factors.

We rode 60 miles out on horse back on my moose hunt. The last day which we rode for 7 hours was around 35 degrees not counting wind chill and snowing. I kept nice and warm the whole ride

Anybody put in for Wyoming deer or antelope? We put in for a deer tag in the Medicine Bow. Going to try and go up and scout for an elk hunt the following year with some deer tags in our pocket. Also put in for a couple antelope doe tags.

Nobody in our group drew so I think our plan is OTC 80/81 in CO. Still excited and plan on doing a lot of scouting for mule deer at the same time for next year.

Yeah it's different now, it says I drew 1st choice tags so I'm going. Unfortunately my two buddies did not draw so I'm solo. Anybody draw 4th season 711?

I put in for Wyoming Antelope, would really like to break into Elk out there so should be putting in to build points now I guess. I'm brand new to the out of state DIY public hunt game so just starting to catch on.

Awesome what ranch you hunting. My grandparents have a cabin up there.
