I will be taking .75 ml/cc (200mg per ml) every wednesday. will be curious to see where that takes me.

is yoor cypionate vial 100mg or 200mg per ml?

my pharmacy.got me into the 1ml vials (200mg per vial) so copay is $20 for one month supply (4 vials). was thinking 3 years ago I had $5 copay for same thing. will go to a different pharmacy next month.
It's alright. My vial shows 2000mg per 10ml. However that translate into?? Im guessing 200? I pay 70.00 per refill plus syringes. One for drawing out the T and other for injecting into my thigh. Better than 1000.00 for pellets out of pocket, 300.00 a month for AndroGel every month or 150.00 a month for Axiron. Axiron didn't work for me at all. Maybe the first week but nothing after that.

No way, no,how cause by fifth day, I feel sluggish. Will talk to Doc. We shall see I rather stay 1.5 a week! It does make a huge difference than 1 ml a week.
That's BS - your doc shouldn't be slowing you down (maybe) until you're hitting 4 digits.

If you're still feeling sluggish at that, ask your doc about doing 1-1.25cc shots every 4-5 days. This will reduce the "peak and valley" effect of waiting 1 week or longer between shots. It's made a big difference for me as far as mood is concerned.

If that doesn't work, wait to take your blood test until you're due on your next shot!

Got a call back this afternoon. Insist that I'm too high by end of the week bec of high count and possibly high blood level. Told me to cut it back to every ten days with 1 ml for the next 3 injections before get another lab test. Grrr!

I could do that but that'd mean I'd have to look for Doc, and pay the co-pay and possibly having to see my family Doc before being referred to other Doc as well. It's a process because I have lousy insurance under my retirement benefit. So ready to find a job with better insurance coverage. Everybody knows that's like hitting a lottery nowadays. Grr

Maddox - The doc I go to is in the med center in Houston. Not sure on anyone in the woodlands, but personally I feel it's more than worth the drive to go see him.
          Dr. Larry Lipshultz
Baylor College of Medicine - Urology
          713-798-4001

SA - I hear you on the insurance. My costs are starting to increase right now (i.e. testosterone not being covered when it was previously since June 08)
I'm not suggesting you change doctors. Keep who you're comfortable with. But if it were me, I'd make sure the next blood test you get is 10 days after your shot, then take your shot when you get back from the appointment.

Yeah. Sucks. My ins now saying they refuse to pay PSA tests! I'm calling them tomorrow morning and let them have it! It's bs.

Yeah. That's what I do. Take blood test whatever how many ever days Doc says I need to do then after test take the injection after the test. This time it will be 30 days and 3 injections before they test me.

I think I need to switch from once every two weeks to once a week. Will consult with my doctor after my next visit.

Do you see your energy levels dropping close to your next shot? I used to have this when I was taking a shot ever 7 days. Dropped to every 5 and it helped.

I'm not a fan of that much time in between shots. If anything I feel like reducing the amount of the injection, but keeping a smaller frequency of the shot (1 week or less) is the way to regulate better. Keeps everything more consistent, but that's my personal belief and observation.

Hypogonadism may also be a huge factor for your testosterone output. Infection and/or injury could be to blame for it.

I've known that I have low T for some time now. This years physical showed my T level to be 130. I'm 52yrs old. My doc gave me all the options, pros and cons, and I'm going with the implant.. I've been following this thread for quite some time. Looks like I'm in!

well i tried the gel for 2 months. Just like they said. Couldnt tell a bit of difference. I asked about the shots and how i read alot of people didnt seem to get anything from the gel. He said he had some patients say the same thing.

They prescribed me the shots. They wanted to do it there but they let me do it myself. Just did the first one. Going back in two weeks for a blood check. They want me to do it every two weeks. I am assuming that is just to start with. Never gave myself a shot before but it was a piece of cake. The whole thing cost me $15.
