I guess there is two schools of though going on with the doctors
I do it more to clean the receptor cells than anything, and still try to get a little natural production from time to time. For the first 2 weeks of the HCG cycle my test levels actually go up. I can feel a difference when I cycle on and off. I promise it's not just for the recreational juicers.
It's possible my doc has me cycling because I'm still young, but the bottom line is that it helps me. May be worth looking into or talking to another doc about.

this is why I choose to live in.hays county but doctor is in Austin
I agree completely. cycling just makes sense no matter the quantity one takes but I am not a doc. age may be one of the reasons they don't encourage cycling. I will ask more about it in 3 months.
I was on it for 3 years last go around but didn't seem to have any adverse effects (unless impotency is importantit will make you shoot blanks. I has zero sperm count when it came time to investigate pregnancy issues. took about 5 months for hcg to get me remotely back to production. required iui to work)

A cheaper alternative for cycling off is Clomid. Costs me $53 for a one month supply of that vs $350 for the last round of HCG I did. The HCG was more effective for cleansing but the Clomid is still good. Also make sure you've got estrogen blockers during the off cycle.
My opinion is that regardless of age, or type of usage (recreational/prescription), the off cycle certainly helps. I've seen it in my blood tests, which I get every other month.

Been on injections since then haven't looked back. IMO anything but injections is ineffective.

The 18G is fine for drawing. 22G is good for injecting. I prefer the 21/23 combo but that's just what's worked best for me.
I'd be curious to know why your doctor recommends the 1.5" needle. I know quite a few people prescribed and probably twice as many recreational users and the only people who use 1.5" needles are the ones who for some reason couldn't get 1". If he gives you any reason feel free to share!
