FWIW Im kicking around a pistol can to run on a 9mm and possibly on a lever gun in .38/.357
I ordered from 4 places for a couple reasons.
    1- better parts
2- faster and in stock items to get everything I needed
3- lighter weight qb is heavy as hell didn't like then one my buddy bought
4- got it built exactly as I wanted it. Materials spacing etc.
5- lots of the kits are sold out or are made of aluminum which I want mine to last my lifetime so I wanted stainless and titanium guts and tubes etc.

Filed on 6/22 got approval email today 7/28 so just over a month. Will drill it and clip it out tonight, weighs 14.5 ounces. Should work good, maybe a little loud on my AR but should help significantly. Then just need to get my .204 threaded and will be ready for this winter hammering coyotes.

I’m still leaning towards doing a Form 1 for my next Rimfire can. How are you guys drilling out the cones(if you don’t have a lathe)? Is a center punch, and drill press acceptable?

35db from all I've read. Seems a .308 can only be suppressed down to around 135db which is just below the level of hearing damage.
I've heard lots of different suppressors at the shooting ranges I go to and none of them are "silent". All of them are loud enough to know they are not somebody shooting a 22 rifle. Muffled is more like it but you can still tell it's a high powered round going off. Every little bit helps when you are along side several other guns going off under a covered awning.
I love showing up with my unsilenced side discharge muzzlebraked loudenboomers. I almost always have a couple of empty benches on either side of me

Well DB is always the big talking point for most people but DB isn’t the only thing making something hearing safe. You have to look at the tone s impulse not just sound reduction. That said a factory can will suppress and do those other things better than a form 1.

I understand all that as I spent several years helping certify THX sound systems in movie theaters though I am not an architectural acoustician. Suppressors do a good job of knocking down, if you will, the low frequency pressure waves that is most damaging to your ears. I think the lowly Form 1 is better than nothing. I'm all in for making them legal in every form.

Part of my veterans disability is for 40% hearing loss due to gunfire from bigger guns than one sees at a shooting range. Totally deaf in some frequencies. I would love to be able to once again hear a mouse peeing on cotton.

You said without a lathe, I did mine on my mill. Quiet bore, and i think a couple other manufacturers make drilling jigs that the baffles sit in to drill accurately

as mentioned the kits I looked at a jig was available. One guy did it with a plain bench vice and a cordless drill using the jig.

I'm interested in doing this but know nothing about them. I know I can look on other sites but here I can ask questions & probably learn better. It'd be greatly appreciated!

Can the shop (Waymore Silencers) I’m getting my Sig Sauer suppressors through submit it? Or is it something I can do? What about the engraving? I assume I only need to engrave the tube? What information is required? I’m in Brazoria County near Alvin
