That is a sweet rifle. What is it? Tell me more, I have always wanted a 280 Rem.

Maverick from Alamo Precision. When I decided to get a semi-custom rifle built, there was never any other caliber considered. I've had four .280s over the years, and love the cartridge, even though it's not high on the " in crowd's " list. I consider ( along with many others that know more than I ) the .280 to be right on the heels of the 7 mm Mag without the recoil and muzzle blast of the 7 mm. Good reloads will get you within 150 fps of the 7 mm and no animal will know the difference within normal ranges. If you want to shoot stuff at 500 yd., ( I don't ) there are better options IMO.
