I think I am going to buy a Ruger American Predator 6.5 Creedmoor. I love the round and already have the reload equipment. I am certain it will take a mule deer at 300-400 yards and would even shoot an elk at 200 or less with it.

Another vote for 7mm Rem Mag. I shoot it for whitetail to elk and it has great performance and BC, especially with a berger VLD.
