2 guys that I work with had pre-ordered from GT and they were delivered Tuesday. They haven't had a chance to go to the range and run some rounds thru them yet. I'm ready for a report on them.

Dang. That's the best blue label prices I've seen in dfw. Gonna have to hit em up if I decide to buy a glock.

Put 250 rounds of the same Speer Lawman 115 grain today.

I have not cleaned or lubed the pistol.

Had 5 malfunctions, one of which was shooter induced.

First shooter induced was my thumb pushed the slide release up causing the slide to lock back with rounds still remaining in the magazine. I mentioned this is a problem I've had with other micro pistols and is caused by my large hands.

Second was a failure to feed. This may have been my fault. Instead of stopping to see why the gun failed I did the natural tap-rack-bang drill. In retrospect I should have investigated further. It was on the second shot and when I "tapped" it felt like the magazine may not have been fully inserted. I later found the 43 really needs to have the magazines firmly pushed in then given a tug, similar to the AR-15. I know this should be done with handguns but it has called out of habit for me.

Third was three failures to insert the magazine. These happened during speed reload drills. If the magazine isn't inserted perfectly straight it will hang up on the magazine release. I did some research and a few others have had similar issues. Beveling either the magazine lip or mag release seems to solve the problem.

Overall, I'm not too disappointed. Yes, my 26 has 2,500 rounds through it without a single failure despite my large hands. But the 43 is still being "broken in" and two of today's malfunctions were probably shooter error and not the gun. The magazine issue seems to me an easy fix. I'm going to bevel the mags and mags release, throughly clean and lube the gun and head back to the range Tuesday.
