I have been carrying a kahr p380. I just got the 43 and not sure about it. I do know I would not go ANY bigger then the 43 and may still carry the kahr and keep or sell the 43. Will see. Its comfortable to carry but no where near as comfortable as the smaller kahr.

To me they serve different purposes. The tiny gun for Pocket carry and the 43 for when I'm not feeling like carrying my full size. Which isn't that often.

Exactly.. I wouldn't pocket carry the 43 just because it's uncomfortable.. That's what I have my Kahr CW380 for.... I do however like carrying it IWB in my Comp-Tac Minotaur holster that I had for my 27 (yes it fits, very well actually)

Makes for a lightweight and slim IWB carry

It filled my need of a slimmer lighter summertime IWB carry gun

The 43 isn't small enough for pocket carry (for most folks), and it's close enough in size to a 26 that you might as well carry something with more capacity.

I put a Ghost connector in my 43 this week to drop the trigger weight, and it definitely did that. However, I had several "false resets" (meaning the trigger looked like it reset but didn't), and I put the stock connector back in until I can figure out what's causing the problem. The Ghost connector in my 42 works flawlessly.

Close enough? Eh I disagree.. Yes it is similar, but is thinner and lighter, which makes it more appealing to me for carry

Same here. I need to go shoot a few hundred rounds through it before it replaces my kahr cm9 though.

In a kydex IWB holster, the G42 is 26.71 mm, the G43 is 27.5 mm, the G26 is 34.38 mm, and my STI sub compact 1911 is 28.1 mm, and those are micrometer measurements.

I'll probably carry the 43 on occasion, but for essentially the same thickness, I keep carrying 7 rounds of 45 instead of 6 rounds of 9mm.

As an update to my previous post about the Ghost connector, I found a "burr" in the trigger mechanism that was causing the false resets, and after gently sanding it down, everything works perfectly.

My 43 holds 7 rounds... And I bet that STI weighs quite a bit more than the 43 does

I'm with Rito on this one. Any 1911 serves a different need for carry than my 43. If I'm carrying a 1911 it's at minimum a commander.

My 43 at its widest points measured 1.057" and my Dan Wesson measured 1.204". Definitely thinner than my 1911 and weighs a lot less.

AAAAAAAH, stop showing off the G43's! Finding them at a decent price is almost impossible here in KY.....Ike, when will you have them in stock! I'll find a FFL close to base

I was sold on the 43, now I am having second thoughts. The 26 is the same size except for thickness and i have the options to use more mags in the 26. Is there a significant difference in thickness and weight. I love my wifes 42 and my 17.
I want ultimate concealment with shorts and a tshirt. I am 6'1 and 190.

I have the 43, 19, and 34. Each have a different purpose. I haven't ever bought in to the 26 because I don't see the need. If you can conceal the 26 you can conceal the 19. Want something smaller? 43 is you guy. Or a kahr, shield ect.
