Ok, I took the 43 for a quick range trip today and here are my initial impressions:

I shot the gun without lubing or cleaning, so it was dry just as it is shipped from the factory. I only had time for 100 rounds of Speer Lawman 115 grain TMJ ammo. Not that 100 rounds is a big deal, but I had zero malfunctions. I was at an indoor range, shooting in a lane so the ejected casing were hitting the lane divider, so I couldn't tell the ejection pattern, however, I experienced zero "brass to the face" issues that seems to plague early model Gen4s. I did one magazine shooting one handed with my right hand, one magazine shooting one handed with my left hand, and the remaining 88 rounds were all two handed shooting.

Size wise, there is not a huge difference between my 43 and 26 other than width. I think the 43 will be much more comfortable IWB.

I have large hands and really like the lack of finger groves on the front strap and beavertail. Also, there is a little more of a "guard?" around the slide release. I have had problems with my thumbs hitting the slide release on Glocks that have extended slide releases installed or on some other micro pistols. I did not experience this problem with the 43.

Actual shooting the pistol shot POA/POI. Recoil was mild. Much more comfortable than a PM9, not too much sharper than the 26.

Overall, will it replace my 26? Probably not. But I am happy with it, I have another range trip planned with it Tuesday.

        Good info
        Thanks

My wife wants one and now I want one as a backup. Maybe by the time we get the first one (not LEO), Meprolight will have NS for it. Still haven't seen Meprolights for the G42. Anyone seen Meprolights for a G42??

The LGS called and my wife's G43 was in this morning. Haven't had a chance to go by there yet to get it. She is super excited to shoot it and wants to get it cerecoated Aqua to match her seafoam yeti, same as someone had a G42 for sale on here earlier this month.
