If you had to choose a long range round, what would it be? Off the shelf round not a custom hand load.

Just buy a .308. easy to find and will get the job done.

My vote is either the 7mm Rem Mag or the 6.5x284. Ballistically they are very very similar. The 7mm has a little more recoil but easier to find ammo. Where the 6.5x284 is the opposite.

Kill. I figure if it will kill then I can punch paper too, but not the other way around. I'd give up a little paper performance for killing ability for sure. About to have a second floor balcony non a house that will give me potential hog shots as far as I want.
