Sling shot will kill a doe to if you hit her right.

I've killed many deer with a 22-250 still not my first pick for a youngster.

Great job getting the work done!

I like the leaking part especially if they are not down immediately.

Question. What do you do if your youngster makes a marginal shot with a tiny cal ???

Reason I ask I'm getting a rifle together for my daughter. I was just wondering what experiences folks have had. Yes we all know shot placement is where it's at. But the best laid plans............

You wish you had started them with a larger caliber.

Will it kill a 80 lb hill country doe? Yes. Will it kill a big 220lb ST buck? sometime but not every time. Shot placement has to be perfect. To promote the 22-250 as a great all around deer gun is just not very wise. It's marginal at best under perfect conditions on small bodied deer. You won't ever see guys bragging about wounding a deer with one. You will here about clean kills and that is all.
