Glad you can open carry but I wouldn't. Know one should know if you have a gun. Makes you a target

I have read several stories about bad guys walking right past open carried guns and not seeing them or whatnot. Also if you walk into a place and you see 15 people opening caring, or 15 CC which one would you choose to rob?

I support this 100% I may not open carry 100% of the time but i think it will be nice to not have to stress over reconealing my gun after hunting or running into down to eat after deer hunting or something like that. You can just leave it on with no worries.

And i dont here about many open carry people being the first target. And im sure if it happend often we would here it from the lefties so im not to terrible concerned.

All these arguments against open carry sound a lot like the ones against concealed carry. Personally, I believe people today are paranoid and scared of guns because of the media and pure ignorance of them. Being familiar with firearms isnt a bad thing. Knowledge is power.

I think you'll see quite a few restaraunts and grocery store type enviornments that won't let you open carry. They will have to think about it from a business standpoint and scaring customers. I know the argument, "Well they should feel safer with all the guns." While you and I might, I stress might, feel safer, there are many who will be disturbed and distracted while eating or shopping that might not want to see that.

I don't think I'd open carry, I'd still go concealed. Most people aren't trained in weapon retention either and it's all fun and games till your gun gets snatched from your holster while you're not paying attention. It's human nature to let your guard down from time to time.

Well, IMHO, I will say this, we have had open carry here a long time. I open carry a lot and while I get some looks from the California hippies, most people are pretty relaxed about it. I'm a big proponent of open carry. Not sure it makes you a target so much as it just might change someone's mind about shootin up a place if they see a bunch of folks with guns too. Kinda evens the playing field if you ask me.

For those that say your weapon will just get snatched off of you, if you use the right kind of holster, it's virtually impossible to get the gun without taking the pants and belt with you. It's funny, ever since these stupid gun laws go voted on, there have been more and more people open carrying. It's good to see. I for one feel safer seeing who's packing and it sure makes carrying a heck of a lot easier too.

Im pretty sure that the texas open carry proposal has a "MUST BE A LEVEL 2 retention" holster clause in it....

So just grabing a weapon off a person will not be that easy without a fight..

Last time I looked, we've been able to open carry about 15-20 years.
Never heard 1 story of someone getting this gun yanked off of them.

I would open carry. But I can see business owners not wanting a bunch of guns out in the open all the time.

Pennsylvania is open carry. No issues with it that I have heard. Don't understand the argument that carrying open would make you a target. You carry open so you don't become a target. I carry concealed but saw a guy at walmart yesterday carrying open and nobody paid him any attention. Guess it's just what you're used to.
