      Here is GJ's official-unofficial recipe.

      2 sleeves of unsalted top saltines
      1 package dry ranch dressing mix
      1 tsp garlic powder
      1 tsp onion powder
      1 tbl spoon cracked red pepper
      1/4 cup canola oil

            Instead of the saltines, use oyster crackers!!!!

              Those are great - the wife always makes them in the fall. Goes down best with a few cold ones.

                    I made some of these over the weekend after reading this thread and they were the best crackers I ever ate.

                      Found another use for these. Take a couple handfuls and crush them. Dip some chicken breasts in a little buttermilk and egg then press the cracker crumbs on the chicken. Bake at 400 for about 50 min. Man it was good oven fried chicken.

                                Add a piece of sausage...some cowboy candy (candied jalapenos) and a dab of honey mustard. now that's good!!!
