    Fire Crackers

Here is a snack we keep around our house almost always.

A full box Zesta brand crackers. (Premium brand seems to salty for this recipe)
A package of Ranch Dip mix
    3 tablespoons dried pepper flakes
    1 1/3 Cups Canola Oil

Empty all 4 sleeves in a 2 gallon zip lock bag. Dump the Ranch mix in with the crackers then add the pepper flakes and then Canola Oil. Seal the bag and rotate crackers around to mix up ingredients. Mix often to coat all of the crackers. Crackers are good to eat in about an hour or so, but are best in a couple of days if they last that long.

    Hope yall enjoy!

I am trying a batch of these tonight.

Are "pepper flakes" the same as crushed red pepper?

I hope so, because that is what I am going to use. I did not find "pepper flakes" in the grocery store.

so you mash up the crackers in with the other stuff? and its more of a dip than anything from the sounds of it right? sounds good.

                        No, don't mash the crackers.

The crackers get coated in the flavorirng. Eat them like chips.

I made a bag on Monday or Tuesday, and they were gone by Thursday

made some last night. i tweeked it a bit and added some Weber smokey mesquite seasoning with it... nice move too. just use same recipe and add about a teaspoon of the mesquite seasoning.
