I feel more senior than most. So there's that.

Your mileage may vary. But ya should try driving this older model multi-wrecked that's been in the bodyshop multiple times, has bond-o up top frame, and reinforced metal and screws in various fenders, bumpers, and places. Not to mention the frame erosion. I gotta oil injection ever two weeks so the steering works. And the wheels don't fall off, and I break down on the side of the road. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

My bi-weekly maintenance service for 4 weeks is comparable to annual service expenses a Ferrari and/or a Lamborghini. But if it keeps me running in 4-wheel drive, and run-n while off-road, it's worth it!
      (the word "run-n" used lightly)

Anybody wanna know what my wrecker/tow service insurance runs? [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
Or better yet, where I can get it cheaper?

The fish are biting and there's hogs to be kill-t. Gotta go!

This will be my first year applying for any. Going to put my boys in for some too and just hope for the best. Will probably hit anything close for some standby stuff.

I emailed TPWD and they said there weren't any planned changes for the upcoming drawn hunts.

Now I wouldn't be surprised if some permit numbers changed due to drought or other range conditions.

I'll be going on the gubment wrecker/tow service plan shortly. Probably not cheaper but I got some deferred maintenance that needs to be taken care of. First thing my headlights need new lenses. I'm sure of it. Then I got a ball joint that is on its last leg (pun intended).

There's one major change. I draw everything....

              The fix is in.

If your kids use sticks and strings, drawing youth archery deer can be productive. Daughter and I sat and watched two bucks for about an hour. Had a chance on a doe but she was the matron and not too sure about or hide. It was fun none-the-less.

When it gets close and the draws are out pm me. I'll give you some ideas.

                Good luck.

Y'all joke but I know that's gonna happen to me sooner or later, go so long batting zero and end up drawing way too many in one year.

I plan on striking out this year as I drew an awesome one this past season but I’m still going to apply. I’m sitting double digits in all categories accept a few I drew over the last few years

It is a little early to worry about not drawing Texas hunts, I’m still busy striking out in a bunch of other states’ draws.

Question on draw hunts , TX big time hunts , I always put in for the grand slam as well as the mule deer hunt. I have a TX mule deer hunt booked for this December, my question is if you were lucky enough to win a big time hunt are those tag provided by Texas Parks and wildlife as in MLB or must you use your tag from your hunting license?

When I was drawn they provided my tag.

I’m not sure I’m the mule deer hunts specifically, but it can vary by draw. It seems like the hunts on national refuges are more likely to require you to use your own tag. Honestly, odds are so bad for MD you shouldn’t have to worry about it.
