I have stand 5 and 10 in my compartment

I’ll be there with my son in January. He loves shooting his 25-06. Is that enough gun or do we need to step up to my .270 or 30-06?

I shot this one with a 308 and dropped it in its tracks another guy put 3 rounds of 300 win mag into the chest of another stag this morning. The folks running it are great and want you to succeed. They said shoot ‘em in the neck. That’s what I did and it worked out textbook perfect.

My daughter was lucky enough to draw a youth hunt. Question for those that have gone. Will any of the staff help if you shoot one. She is not very big so I will pretty much be on my own. Didn’t know if someone was there to help load it if we would be on our own and I needed to bring something to help get it loaded. Are side x sides allowed?

Staff here is great and very helpful. I shot mine out in the water. No way I’d get him out solo. Even if o shot it by the road I couldn’t load it up. They have side by sides with dump beds and winches in the back and put them in it and take them to the skinning racks for you.

Think that is possibly the same stag my daughter was trying to shoot. We stalked it around the water 10 is sitting on. She could never get comfortable on the sticks and it was in the tall grass. Great stag
