If you get drawn for an adult deer hunt can your 14 year old come and sit with you when your hunting?

If he has taken hunters ED I believe he can hunt on his own. My son and I got draw for Enchanted Rock SNA. Ranger said no at first but the rules say different. I do believe he was 15 at the time.

ZERO out of 28 so far this year. I have been applying for 24 years,I've only been drawn for 2 adult hunts and 2 youth hunts. It took a minimum of 10 points for myself, but my son was drawn 2 years in a row for Kerr WMA. I only apply for the premium hunts and when drawn for Kerr WMA it was worth the Wait. This year I have 16 points in Exotic Only and 13 for Antelope. This year is my year

I have 20 points in Exotic and 19 in Pronghorn. I've been putting in for these hunts since 1989. I drew Gun Deer Either Sex at Matador that year. Since then there have probably only been maybe 5 years that we didn't at least draw a doe/spike hunt. We usually put in for hunts with good success numbers and lower entry numbers (higher liklihood of drawing a permit). If all you put in for are Chap and Pronghorn and stuff like that, the odds are long.

Very good point Shane. I use the same application method when I apply for hunts in New Mexico as well and it works out great if you love hunting any quality of animal like I do!
