If he doesn't draw it, I hope I draw it.
Yes sir, I hear you on that! Where did you kill the one in your avatar anyway? That's awesome!

I thought the same thing. At the same time though, a lot of the old school guys that have always applied by mail may or may not know how to use a computer. I say that because I know some ole country boys like that.

Not a good year for me. On the Archery hunts, there is only one that is taking place on my days off and if drawn, I would still miss the last morning hunt.
I haven't read up on all the new changes but do have a couple questions.
        1. Can you still go as a stand-by?
        2. Did TPWD do away with the Archery Exotic hunts?

whether or not they will have standby hunters on the day of the hunt is up to the hunt area manager.

and from what I have heard the category AEX is still there, but no hunt areas wanted to fill any spots this year. maybe next year, especially if enough people call and voice their opinions.

I'm not sure on the stand-by hunts.
Yes TPWD did away with the Archery Exotic hunts this year. Not sure why but if you draw a tag you can still hunt with your bow if you want I'm sure.

If you get drawn for an adult deer hunt can your 14 year old come and sit with you when your hunting?

In that case, he should be able to hunt as well.
If I read the past rules right, being he's still considered a youth, he can hunt for free.

As long as he's got his hunter ed, he can sit by himself.
Some WMAs don't allow solo youth hunting though. Call your place and ask.
