Hope anyone that goes this weekend gets something! Let us know how it goes as i'll be out there the following weekend.
I had an opportunity last weekend. The sun came up and I realized I wasn't as high in the tree as I thought I was. 8:30 on the dot, 4 does came charging out of the thicket and stopped in the flat to eat. The 2 younger ones got about 10' from the base of my tree and the 2 larger ones stayed out about 30yrds. As I went to draw the 2 younger ones spooked and the 4 white flags disappeared into the woods. I shook for 15 mins. after that. I can honestly say I had doe fever.

Anyone want to hunt together this weekend? I have large camper with generator and plenty of room. Wife hates for me to hunt alone. Trying to keep momma happy.

I have seen alot of does in Alabama Creek since opening day. I jumped a pretty decent buck and doe one evening but they were about 100 yards away going the opposite direction. I seen 2 yearlings but didnt want them. All other does were on the side of the road while coming in or going out.

I missed a shot at a good size hog this morning. He was at 28 yards, I misjudged my distance from my shooting rail on my stand and pinged it pretty good during my draw..bye bye hogzilla..mistakes will happen, just glad it was not a buck.

You have to see a deer for it to be a buck... Lol better luck next time.

I have a new climber I did not prepare well enough and did not shoot out of it before season. Lesson learned, I know now how not to draw in my climber..lol

Looks like I will be near Kennard. Off of 514 at one of the campsites. If anyone is out that area stop by for a cold beverage. Maroon Chevy 2500 hd with a bumper pull 30 ft trailer.
