We built one very similar to this. The problem we had was when everyone sat down the blind would tilt back quite a bit so we added a few more barrels to the back.

What was the width between the inside of the pontoons on the one that y'all built?

Come along slowly. I need to brace the dog "stand"/entry platform deck it and then ill take it and float it to test the stability. As narrow as the shooting opening is I am hoping that by restricting everyone to that small space will make it less prone to leaning very bad or tipping in the water.

The dog will actually exit through a hole in the front of the blind, the platform is for him to get back in and shake off on before getting in the blind and drenching everyone

Awesome build reminds me of my duck hunting days back in north Louisiana we had pretty much the same blind and had a boat hideaway in the back of it.

If this one works out well I am thinking about building a 16 foot floater with a boat hide in the back of it

The best part about this for us is that our water is too deep to park the boat and walk back in so we drop everyone off in the boat and kayak back. With this blind we can just slide the kayak right underneath it!

                            Thanks Chris!

You and Tyler need to come down to kill some ducks around christmas this year... Mainly so he can bring a couple birds back to Lubbock to mount for me! He sent me some pictures of his birds and they look awesome!

No doubt, I would like that. I am hoping my dog does good this season. We will see if she can handle sitting in a duck blind. Sure has come a long way this year.

Yall that is a great blind. My only concern is that it's going to float away. We had to attach 110 concrete blocks to it to make it work. In fact, we went ahead and just filled in our entire pond with concrete when we built a blind like that. It's fun to Rollerblade on it now instead of duck hunt. We miss the ducks but I'll tell you one thing... That blind isn't going anywhere. Try using a drift anchor and some gorilla glue
