I’m saying science has proven that lighter fluid is a flammable element and when mixed with an ignited match the result will be the exact same until the end of time. It will result in a fire. No other outcome is possible. That was what my reference was trying to accomplish.

To say science proves nothing goes against everything we all have learned through seeing it with our own eyes. Seeing is believing for me. Others may have a different opinion on the matter and that’s their right.

I'm not laughing at you Sir, and my point of bringing the Bible into it was just one example where groups of people will ignore science to believe what they believe. The money issue was brought up, so I spoke on that. Yes, our government gives money to churches in the forms of loans and tax breaks like you spoke of. Taxes still have to be paid; the breaks and loans are covered by us the taxpayer.

Let's set the religion aside. Let's talk gun control. Data that can be verified a thousand times over proves that more people were killed after the assault weapon ban of 1994 ended. There's no one here that can deny that fact. Yet, we all will fight tooth and nail to hang on to our guns. Why? Because it's important to us to be able to maintain our constitutional right. Even though the proof is there that more people have died from these weapons, we don't care, we want our weapons. Well, that's the way the tree huggers feel. They want their clean air and clean water. But we call them freaks. I'm just pointing out the glaring hypocrisy that we engage in. I'm just as guilty as anyone on this site of it.

What about PETA and animal rights activists? Do you think they enjoy giving their tax dollars to programs that benefit hunters and fishermen? I'm sure they don't but they still pay. We all pay. So having an opinion against a group really doesn't matter, because in the end we are likely funding the same group we despise. Crazy world we live in :-)

I place my trust in Him and gather evidence through obedience to His Word. Every single time it has provided the evidence of what He has promised. It's not proof. It's evidence of His promise that I put my faith in. I get it, science does that for you. Believe in science if you want but it isn't proof. It's evidence based on theory. Repeating something and getting the same result is not proof? Science absolutely in no way, shape or form relies on faith. Faith is believing something you can’t prove. Like I said, I've put my faith in God through obedience, as well as disobedience, time and time again and His promise has always been fulfilled. Based on your definition of "proof" I have "proof" he is real but I'm not looking for proof. I only need faith.
