There are people who believe the earth is flat. That fact alone tells me that there is no limit to human stupidity.

It could be real. It could be human caused. But it won’t be abrupt.

You may be too young to remember but in the early 70's, the big scare was a coming ice age that was also caused by man, It was supposed to be imminent.

yep, anyone remember Ted Danson? (we're all going to FREEZE TO DEATH)

these idiots don't know **** about anything... just a bunch of overpaid/overeducated morons that couldn't punch their way out of a soap bubble.

quit listening to these idiots and turn to God and the bible for real information.

When I was a kid, the hole in the ozone layer and the acid rain were going to kill everyone. That was over 30 years ago. We are still here, and the hole in the ozone layer and acid rain aren’t talked about anymore. That’s all I need to know to convince me that “climate change” as used in the media and government as a taking point is BS

The big cats, camels, and a plethora of other animals we associate with Africa all evolved here in the Americas. We have human sites from over 100k years ago.

I believe so much history was wiped out after the last asteroid hit our planet, we will never fully grasp how advanced society was back then.

Graham Hancock does a great job with that theory.

My biggest peeve on this is people can only “see” things as they relate to their own years on earth. So we have some hot years and some cold years. Nothing about that is new or changed. It can however be exploited by people for political reasons. Change is a constant. It is not new. Only the exploitation of it for the last 50 years is new. We have had the Dakotas be a sub tropical forest at one time and New York has been buried under glacial ice for 10s of thousands of years. So exactly what again is changing?

One phrase that I keep hearing pop up by the media and those in charge is “The weather is becoming more extreme.”. We all know that NOAA predicts that every year is going to be a worse year than normal for hurricanes. Eventually, they will be right and will use that one time as proof.

One thing that I don’t hear people talk about when the “The weather is getting more extreme.” phrase is brought up is weather modification. Yes, we are modifying the weather. It isn’t a conspiracy theory because it can easily be proven. Green energy in the name of preventing climate change is a MASSIVE industry and one in which policy makers are sure to be getting kick backs. So why wouldn’t they be trying to cause more extreme weather?

If the oceans are going to rise why is Obama buying beach front homes?

I don’t know if deforestation is on the same topic, but humans have definitely made an impact on the weather conditions in the rainforest regions.

Maybe, but you won't die. Actually the bible calls them locust, but you would probably think murder hornet.
With gene splicing and todays technology, we could create a hornet that had rattlesnake venom in the stinger.

Doesn't the bible mention the weather in the end times, and it's not nice?
It also mention how men have destroyed the earth in Revelations, yet so many here who believe think it's virtually impossible for man to affect the earth, with the exception of Nuclear.

Ruining of the earth. Revelation 11:18 foretold that mankind would be “ruining the earth.” They would do so in many ways, not only through violent and corrupt actions but also by bringing harm to the environment.

So it says man will do these things, the weather will be all jacked, etc..., but GW in no way ties into any that, yet so many believe this is the end times.

Not arguing, just curious on peoples thoughts regarding a link between the two.

The climate is constantly changing. Alaska was once a tropical rainforest according to fossil findings. But continental movement could be equally responsible for evidence like this. It’s possible the UK was much farther south and was pushed to its location now by tectonic movement. It’s also possible that nomadic tribes traded for various meats and carcasses.

But there is a reason that climatologists base “averages” on 30 year periods. It’s not an arbitrary timeframe. Weather tends to change generation to generation.

I see pics of my parents from the 50’s wearing woolen coats in pictures from early may. I can barely convince my kids to wear pants in may because it’s so warm
