If anyone comes across Matt Gaetz speech this morning when he nominated Jim Jordan it’s worth the watch. Watch the entire video. He lays it all out there as to why they are saying no. And I guess when he talked about the money and lobbyist being involved in decision making within the house it really got under some skin. Most of the republicans got up and walked out while he was talking.

Gaetz may be digging a deep hole here. I applaud him for gaining attention to congress. Let’s face it. How many people would be asleep and not be paying attention if it was business as usual (Kinda how we got here). The longer it drags out, the more attention it gets. Works well to waking up the American people. However, Matt is alienating himself, big time. And it may cost him in several ways.

He’s pretty much had the same speech the last several votes that I’ve watched. It’s pretty good! To the point and on the money of why DC is a train wreck and why Americans are fed up. They walked out because the truth hurts, just like the several on here that are upset about the 19/20 putting their foot down and standing up for their constituents.

The more votes it takes the more mccarthy looks like an idiot. It’s proving why he’s a spineless *****. A good leader would do what it takes to get the whole team on board but also know when it’s time to step aside because you aren’t what the people want. He and everyone else in the swamp are showing once again how this isn’t the republic it was meant to be, but an oligarchy of those chosen to be in the club.

Gaetz may be digging a hole but you have to be willing to stick your neck out to push change. The patriots that signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776 did so knowing if they didn’t win they would all be hung. It’s time to nut up or shut up and it’s obvious which he has chose. My guess, he has the backbone and support from the right people that he will be just fine.

My view, right or wrong, is Mccarthy knows the ropes up there and will do what most of us want. And that is investigations into Russian collusion farce, fbi, doj, Biden and son, .............

What has investigations into anything produced us the last 20 years? It's all a dog and pony show, they waste tax payer money and no one is indicated or held accountable. I'm tired of investigations I want Indictments. Put some swampers in the clink then I will put some faith in our elected officials.

This is what I pray the 20 are fighting for. Problem is….. over 50% voting for McCarthy plus McCarthy himself probably deserve to be in the clink. Tough waters to navigate and is a very slippery slope.

A bunch flipped to McCarthy in order to keep the republican vote above 212 otherwise if a bunch of GOP members go home for the week or weekend the dems might have enough votes for a simple majority making Hakeem Jefferies the speaker on the next vote. Political games and any one or more of those that flipped can flip back on the next vote. They are well aware that dems are always going to vote 100% for Jefferies and they will never let him be speaker. Unless somebody screws up with the math.
