Oh its life and death over there regarding getting this guy in but........................

"There was another reason it might be a few more days before the deal is finalized – some Republican members can’t be in town Friday or the weekend. For example, Rep. Ken Buck of Colorado had to leave Washington Thursday afternoon for a medical appointment, and others were thought to have conflicts that might keep them away".

Yeah real pressing lmao. We got weekend plans bro, heading down to SPI to get crunk! haha

      Pretty simple explanation right here.

Also, heard on Charlie Kirk that there was a sweet deal on the table yesterday that one of the 20 (he didn’t give a name) said it would be really hard to say no to. It’s pretty much everything the 20 are asking for. But…. He read a text from one of them and the problem is they simply don’t trust McCarthy. So as far as I understood, most of this is verbal. They want it in stone. And for McCarthy to be public about it and get him on the record. At least that was my understanding on it.

These establishment fools need to find a new candidate. 11 time loser.

Though that title is fitting for the republican party. And the R's don't even see the irony in it.

Would any of you be happy with 4.6% of any group running the show?? I highly doubt it.

            Absolutely!

With the 1780 population estimated at 2,780,369, that gives us 2.96 percent of the country serving in George Washington's Army.Jul 3, 2017

              435/340,000,000 = .000005 %.

The 435 that rule us now are .000005% of our population. Are you happy with that ratio?

C'mon now...and that assumes there is no power structure within that 435.

The big difference is the 435 were elected. The candidates that got 4.6% of the vote all lost.

It isn't about numbers or percentages, but for the record what is the percentage of house of representatives and the Senate that run the show for 330,000,000 people.
I believe the math on that is less than 2%, are you happy with that?

That's the way the constitution set the government up.

No matter how many times the tv says we are a democracy, it doesn’t make it true. We are a republic, this is how it’s supposed to work.

Representatives are elected by the people to represent the people. Americans DO NOT want mccarthy as speaker. Those voting no on mccarthy are doing what they were elected to do, represent their constituents. The other ~200 “republicans” are not doing their job.

The 4.6% won their district. The 435 are all "winners". And they are doing what their constituents asked them to do.

So do they listen to you, or the people in their district?

If the other 95.6% are for the status quo. YES!

If a bunch of house members are going home or are absent this weekend then the 218 number will change. All the speaker will need is a simple majority of the members present. Could that somehow end up being Jefferies? At least 4 republicans are not going to be there thru the weekend. How many others will not be there?

probably about the % that started the United States.

McCarthy won’t win this round but several have flipped to McCarthy. Anna Paulina Luna was not happy casting her vote for McCarthy. She looked pizzed
