Definitely. I paid in about 11, got a 6k return, and bc I have four kids may yet 4.5k or so on this stimulus. Still would be ahead a little if I had just kept my own money to begin with.

But lump sums are handy.

I consider myself fortunate to be in that position, or let's just say I'm happy to be on that side vs. the other.

6-8 years ago I was talking to my dad about the incredible tax rate I am paying and it is truly unfair how the tax code is just bizarre. Dad listened intently for all of 10 minutes and said EXACTLY what you did above!!!! He added, "keep doing what you are doing!" He is 88 now and continues to be super observant of actions versus reactions!

I’m not asking for any money but it would be nice to have them knock off a few thousand I owe this year after paying a crap load already. Wife and I both claim zero and none but owe every year.

I would assume not but have not seen it written clearly. But if you have kids under your roof and you make over the threshold why would they be elgible? The family is in good shape as a "unit", thus no check of $500 per child. In my opinion but obviously nothing is in stone until Monday or so.

They would still get a stimulus check. I sure enjoy this site until finances are brought up. Lots of people stroking their own egos, and then put it off as everyone else is jealous. Reads like as long as the couple is under $198k they would get something. I believe quite a few more would receive one than is led to believe here. $198k is a lot of money

I agree, top 6 or 8% in the state I would guess. And for the those of you that don’t feel wealthy making 200 grand as a household you are doing something wrong. You have done well for yourself and should be proud but for goodness sakes get out of your suburbs every once in a while and look around, There are a lot of very hard-working people making much less than you.

Don’t pull the jealousy card either. My family is blessed with a good income that provides more than we need. That may be 50k or 500k.

I’m in the 2400$. + 4 kids boat.
I don’t “need” 4400 but I will take it as long as it’s not a loan. More than likely would use it to help out some folks I know who are in way worse shape than I am

This is a time when we should be helping those in need. I have a huge problem with how we run our welfare program day in and day out, but I have no problem with providing temporary assistance to those that would otherwise be producing.
