In order to defeat Donald Trump, The Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol admits he is prepared to hand Hillary Clinton the Oval Office. On Wednesday’s “Morning Joe,” the Republican Establishment leader laid out his plot to deprive Trump of the 50% of delegates necessary to secure the nomination. From there, the idea is to go into a brokered convention and cut a kamikaze deal that awards enough delegates to an “acceptable” candidate (who will have won far fewer votes, states, and delegates than Trump).

The problem with the Establishment brokering a behind-closed-door deal that hands the nomination to a Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)
, is that the backlash against the Republican Party is almost certain to hand Hillary Clinton the presidency.

If a bunch of rich, angry GOP elites rob Trump supporters of their victory, the blowback will result in so many voters staying home in November, Hillary wins. As NBC’s Chuck Todd pointed out last night, at this point the delegate math is such that the only way to stop Trump is through this scheme at the convention.

It might backfire worse than they think, the blowback could just as easily embolden and galvanize the anti establishment movement. Trump would surely run as an independent and could create enough "vote against" the 2 parties to win. At which point he would be a completely loose cannon instead of a partially loose cannon.

If Trump wins the nomination, Hillary will be the next president.
She will slaughter him in debates on ALL TOPICS and make him look like a bigger fool than even he is capable of doing all by himself...which is saying something.
But then.. if Trump loses... Trump wins.. because that's been the plan all along.

NEVER gave money to democrats and funded liberal policies for decades
NEVER funded Democrats campaigns
NEVER received favor/preferential treatment from Democrats
HASNT given more money to the Clintons than he has Wounded Warriers
DIDNT have Hillary at his wedding
Has NEVER had liberal/democrat opinion and policies
Has NOT done an about-face on just about EVERY political and social opinion he's had for over 3 decades in the matter of a year ?
