This here^^^ Every Hispanic we hire has a phony SS number, some are even here on a tourist visa. Last week the cartel before trump took office, were charging 14,000.00 to get illegals across the border driving a vehicle straight through. Corrupt Mexican and Americans working the border.

Identity theft is also a crime, so even the 'just come here for a better life' types are likely breaking many more laws than simply crossing the border.

I’m not sure if you understand how this works. You mentioned the people hiring them. If a guy applies at my company and provides an ID and SS card what do you expect us owners to do? We are not I9 verification business. We have no way of knowing if they are legit or not. You really want to make a difference make the ITN number easier to get so they can pay taxes and shut down every illegal flea market scam selling fake papers.

Do you have any idea how much tax money goes uncollected from illegal workers? Last I read was about 13 billion per year. Who do you think reaps that dirty money reward.

Great question. My understanding of the e-Verify program is it’s not your job to uncover fraudulent IDs. When the ID (a driver’s license and SS card for example) are uploaded, the government compares Jose Rodriquez’s name with the state motor vehicle database looking for a match and if the number is real. Then his SSN with that database to see if the number is his or Aunt Martha’s in Toledo, Ohio.

Bill definitely not trying to argue but it is not that simple. Your posistion is that there are Americans waiting in line to tie rebar and finish concrete in 100degree weather. This is not true. I’m not sure what you guys think these Hispanic workers make but a **** shoveler off the street basic labor is around 17 to 18 dollars and hour. My most expensive guy makes 34 an hour and owns a home and has 2 cars. My point is for people not on the ground and to say that these guys are taking Americans jobs is unreal at least in certain parts of construction.

I remember back in the 60's, the INS trucks going around Dallas and basically raiding businesses and hauling off the illegals.

This happened on one of our jobs south of Houston “angleton” back in the 80’s when Reagan was president, they caught some, but some got away.

Our company checks them out and they know legal from illegals, they know legitimate SS and DL, they have ran thousands of them, then let us know if they can be hired.
we do not hire any illegal workers.
