    Sabine River Run

About to make another trip back to the river after Flatheads. We went over spring break and caught the last northerner of the year. Still had a fun time with a slow bite. River is going to be up and we have the best bait in a while. Should be a blast. We will head up Friday am before daylight.

You should be hitting it right. We have been stacking them up in central Texas last few weeks.

Good luck. The perch are great but if that’s a bucket of mud cats that I’m seeing y’all are gonna be on em. Can’t wait for results.

                  Where do y'all put in?

I am way on up the river from where you are

Closest ramp to me is where US 69 crosses it just south of Mineola

Great bait. Do the wardens down there give yall any grief about bait?

I have never been checked but I know the places around rayburn are adamant that you take your receipt when buying shiners.

Man a good catfishing trip is hard to beat. Are you able to get a boat up and down the Sabine pretty easy?

We have a deer lease south of Toledo bend **** in newton county. We have a pretty low plane but it gets cranked up when they cut the **** gates open. River rose 5.5’ last trip we fished. Re tied lines every set.

It was real tough last year during the drought. Only had a couple mile section we could fish. Normally pretty decent to get up and down.
