Bill Muntz donates a free mount to whoever wins big fish of the year at the Crappie Anglers of Texas tournaments. My partner Drew Black and I caught this big white crappie on Pines last year and she hung on as big fish for all of 2022.
I asked him to do a replica Black to go along with the white. To say I am tickled with them is a huge understatement. His art work is stunning. I have been told taxidermy is supposed to be viewed from 10 foot away. These fish look great holding them in your hand.

I have been on the struggle bus for crappie for longer than I care to admit. Finally broke down and bought an Active Target for my display and made a homemade transducer bracket out of an old flag pole and mount with a little PVC and some imagination. It works great. Three trips in a row in some backwaters and we ended with several bags of filets. Just about every crappie were full of eggs and bellies stuffed with giant shad. Big white bass have showed up and we put a hurting on those too.
Anybody using live scope to catch flatheads? I've heard of people doing it and am curious about the details.

Can't say on the flat heads but Sandlin has a bunch of big blue cats and I see them often. I have no doubt that you could put a shad in their face with your love scope
