Caught a few with my Dad over Spring Break. My son caught the big fish for the day. Put 25 in the box. Catching crappie in the cypress trees is my favorite trip each year.

Fixing to hit the road to Ivie this weekend while everyone is chasing big bass I am hoping to find a mess of crappie. No live scope so plan to start working brush between the bank and channel edge till I find them.

Hope to find them in about 6 foot of water.

For the novice crappie guy I’ll take all the pointers i can get

It was good to meet you the other night Terry. Thanks for feeding our large group and all our rowdy kids. Everyone really enjoyed it. My son loved the crawfish and wants to come back soon. Hopefully we can talk a little more next time but its always good when your business is busy.

Went to Fork today. It’s no Conroe but we managed 16.45 on our best 7. Good enough for 4th. Had 10 fish over 2 pounds today. Time to get back fo Conroe!!

Steve came out with me this morning on day one of a two day trip on Pines. Spring fishing will drive a man to drinking, Yesterday was awful high winds cold and the fish would not bite. Today was one of those days that keeps us coming back. Calm winds early, beautiful sky and aggressive fish. His box was full and he was throwing fish back 2 hours into the trip. We poked around another couple of hours and he probably threw back another 30 before the wind picked up and we decided to go clean fish. He caught them from 12 to 20 foot deep on a 1/4 oz purple and chartreuse jig. I can only hope tomorrow is anywhere near as good

Debating on wether to go to granger tomorrow morning. I started vacation and plan on fishing all week.

Conroe treated em right today! Had to use the bait well cause we couldn’t get anymore in the cooler!! Gotta like those days!!

It is mighty fun when you can pull20fishoff of 1 limb. I had him pick the one off the top of the linm. By the time we could get it in the cooler and drop again, there was another fish that moved up and was waiting his turn
