Sam Rayburn kicked my tail Saturday. I took the kayak to where I caught quite a few last April and I worked my tail off for one big slab. I'm not sure if I was a little early in the day, in the year, or if the higher water level have them elsewhere from last year. Ended up involuntary swimming and drowning a cell phone but still had fun. Left there and went to Toledo to see if my luck would change, it didnt. ALSO did a Wim Hoff plunge there with only a few small bass to show for it.

Does TBend only have black crappie in it? That cooler looks like only blacks and I watched a couple of videos the other day filmed on TB and they only caught black crappie as well.

Snuck out again today after work fished just over an hour and came home with 12. Had 5 more keepers in my hands that slipped out and got away. Caught them all on the first group of trees I waded up to, never moved more than 4 steps. The kicker was it was an area I have never in my life fished
