Salty H20 2023 Thread- How Salty Will You Get??

Yesterday was pretty good. We caught a doz reds and almost twice that many trout. Lots of 14-16" trout. Caught some on live shrimp and some on Vudu shrimp under Coastal Corks.

Water clarity and tide was good and the water temp was 74 degrees.

Water clarity was pretty good most of the morning. It started getting sandy mid-day but never so bad that it wasn't fishable.

We got out Tuesday night and tried to make the most of the full moon. Fished all through the major and couldn't buy a bite. Made for a long day at work on Wednesday.

Wind laid and I was able to fish a flat on open water that has a good drop off. Smacked them on Marker 54 jerk shrimp. In about 4 ft of water. Had a small bag of shrimp and stopped and caught neighbor a few drum as well

Gonna hit the Ulmnext week with the grandsons and shrimp. They are 6, 8, and 10 so nothing too serious.

PSA: Always carry an extra hitch pin in your toolbox. Poor guy at Speedy Stop tonight learned the (almost) hard way. Now I need to add another spare hitch pin to my list.

We caught 20 trout under the lights tonight from 7-830. Couldn’t believe it. Quality started to show up, then some sort of front blew through before we could fill out our limit and shut down the bite.

Found a limit of reds in rockport this morning. Mirrolure little John XL Chicken.
Caught a pile of dinks as well
