As of now we're all divided
    1. People who are lucky and get it cheaper (may still sting but not as bad) through work.
    2. People who need it and suck it up and pay far too much
    3. People who have gotten use to paying too much and prefer to not think about it
    4. People who get it for free

    5. The minority group of people who refuse to pay and are risking it.

Until groups 1 and 3 decide to stop simply shrugging their shoulders because they're lucky it will get worse. I hope those same guys don't come on here complaining once they lose their job (or their job cuts insurance) because I doubt the guys being screwed over for the last 10+ years will give a crap at this point.
Not sure on what you are getting at here? Are 1 and 3 supposed to dump their insurance or pay more because others do? It has nothing to do with 1 and 3. It has everything to do with people pulling from the system and never paying into it. You seem to really enjoy casting stones and starting stupid conspiracy krap. I work for a major oil company with thousands of employees. That is one reason we have good benefits. And, they know to keep good employees they have to compete with their competitors when it comes to benefits so employees do not jump ship. Smaller companies have a hard time doing the same thing. Therefore, their employees will more than likely not have the same perks.

Ive recently heard compelling arguements that its really MediCare and MedicAid that has and is driving up health care costs and pharmaceuticals.

No limits governments spending. Makes sense.

Im cogitating pros and cons to the HHS being the system behind socialized healthcare.
        Preliminary ideas:
All HHS employees are military service members.
Divide care between civilian and military health sectors. (Necessary for combat arms medics. Maybe just an MOS listing)
Unify all the armed services medical branches under one branch to consolidate/streamline current military DOD budget
No civilian upper echelon. Run with military SOPs and precision for execution.
Tax in for civilians wanting systematic medical processes.
No tax pay no play. National Emergencies excepting.
        Private medical consumers dont pay.

The current Corrupt Woke POTUS and Woke military brass make me think that any consolidation of power or forces is COMMUNIST and therefore this is a horrible idea.

So what are you doing to help those getting screwed? And where do you get off saying that those who are blessed/fortunate to have good insurance don’t care about or do nothing for those that aren’t in the same boat. Quite often it’s those that have been blessed or more fortunate that pay it forward by helping others.

I pay about 400 a month for my family . Medical, vision and dental. The dental really sucks . Bison and medical are not bad . My wife takes 14 different medicines a day . With insurance I still spend close to 600 a month on medication. Both kids take prescription allergies meds . I don’t take anything except for a sleeping med every once and awhile .

$5,800.00/mo-$4,000.00 ind deductible and $6,000.00 family. But that’s for 7 employees. We cover 100% for the employee and they can add the fam for around $450.00-month. We used to provide much better insurance and pay for the whole family but it fell under the luxury tax bs so we dialed it back. It also went up by about 100% when the affordable health care act hit

Adopted my girls, so they get free insurance. My wife and I each get our insurance separately. It’s about $250 a month combined

Just got a notification yesterday that my monthly premium for my wife and I will be $1908 next year. That’s an 11.35% increase. So I get to pay $23k plus $3500 deductible before bcbs pays a dime.

I faced a similar situation around the same age frame. Insurance was going to cost $2800 a month with a $6500 deductible ($13,000 for both) for me and my wife. We were and are in good health. So I decided to go without. I did do a Medishare plan for around $500 a month. But wasn't counting on it. Since nothing happened I figure it saved me roughly $140,000. Which I invested and averaged an 18% return. So even if I took a $250,000 hit it would have basically been a wash.

If you needed a surgery that could wait. Just wait till January and buy through the exchange. Pay for a month or two. Get the surgery and then drop it. We have been brainwashed into thinking that you have to have health insurance. Obamacare changed that. If you have a good income you not only pay for yours but you also pay for several other people. Sometimes you have to take a chance.
