What's crazy is how many of these bucks would probably be on our walls if we had gone after them with a rifle instead of bow.

Compared to some of these he may not be much, but for where we hunt in east Texas he was a giant. Those brow tines were something special, and he had to be over 20 inches wide. had him walk in behind me the first year but never got a shot, and my cousin saw him at over 300 yds the second year. At the end of the 3rd season I set up a random camera and we figured out where he was coming onto the property when we checked cards in the spring. Last season he never showed back up.

Some awesome bucks in this thread... I have one that haunts me to this day... He was at my set morning and evening daily from July til Sept. 21... Never saw him again... A buddy killed him over 3 miles away Thanksgiving day...

Only showed up on camera two times, different cameras. Saw him from the tractor while brush hogging and a handful of times over two seasons from the stand at a distance.
Every time I thought I was closing in, he got further out.
No idea what happened, but up here it’s common to lose large bucks after the rut to extreme cold. Nothing at all showing up in person or on camera that’s even close this year.
