    Rolex Submariner service question

Is there any place that will service a Rolex watch that doesn't charge $900+ for the service. It's time for mine to be cleaned, adjusted, etc. I used to go through the local jeweler here and they always sent it off to Rolex, but they retired and went out of business and I'm tired of paying $900 or more just to have it cleaned, seals changed, adjusted, etc. Anyone have an idea? Thanks!

I have a guy down here that charges $300 which is where it should be mas / menos for just the basic service. I gave my son his great granddad's datejust for graduation but ended up needing a hair spring which jacked up the price...I would think there has to be someone certified close vs having to mail off.

Is the service operation open in Dallas now ? They will look it over and give you a price on whatever it needs.
Did your guy tack on a surcharge for sending it to Rolex ? Might be a little cheaper to take it there yourself.
Also check with Bob's watches in Dallas.
Folks can service them but getting parts is where you have issues.

Check out the Rolex Forum (TRF) for recommendations.

I had a sub serviced by a sponsor about 5 years ago. I think it cost around 400. But the lady who serviced my watch retired.

Don't have the phone number available now, but Kevin at Time Tech in Dallas is great and very reasonable. Before the 'rona I would drop off in person and pick up in person, but I don't travel anymore. :-) He had people send him watches daily.

Mr.K's in Houston is good, kinda far for you though.

I've used Amber twice. I believe it was $300+ each time and comes with a 1 year warranty. It came back looking like brand new. $900 is way to high.

                Yes it is.

We worked on that building, finished it up a couple of years ago. It is a really cool looking building.

They want HOW much for servicing?
Ridiculous, you might as well just buy a new one, but you can send me the old one and I'll take care of it.

But seriously, in 100% honesty, congratulations for reaching the point in life where these are the problems you have.

Simon Phillips watch repair in San Antonio, a real watch maker read his reviews. He worked on all my watches and only one my omega seamaster had to be sent back to the service center cause they wouldn’t sell him the crown to wind the watch and yes it was 900.00 plus dollars.call him first

I would be interested in a Houston service shop.
