Sirloin from a horse?

Could you legally go buy one and bring it home and butcher? Not that I am going to, just curious the law around it.

Yeah, I am sure you can butcher your own horse. My mind was on the wild horse BS.

I believe this law only applies to Public Land.

It gets really complicated, but if the horses were born wild and free roaming you better not whack em.

I would say the reason why people don't eat horse is the same reason why Dolphin fish had its name changed to Mahi Mahi. I have heard it tastes great, never had the opportunity to eat it though.

I have never had horse, but have had Zebra and it was really good.

Zebra wasn’t too bad the times I’ve had it. It did give me wicked gas though.

I couldn’t do it, but not because I think it would taste bad. Just because I’ve always looked at horses like I look at dogs, they’re pets not food.

I have eaten zebra twice in Africa. Both occasions it was delicious. I would have to say it is one of my favorite African meats. One of the lions favorite meals- go figure.
