Great shot, good job, don't listen to nay sayers. Gotta admit I didn't see the pc culture hitting this board to this degree.

But, since this NATIVE GAME ANIMAL isn’t a whitetail, a lot of folks don’t seem to worry about it. I’d like to get a listing of game animals from most to least important so that we can try and come up with SOPs for how to treat this, because obviously the law isn’t what really steers it.
Just my opinion but if you think animals feel pain you should treat them all the same.

I wouldn't think twice of doing that to a feral hog. And No I don't shoot at 86 yards ever.....I understand some folks can get up in arms pretty quick. I also understand the legal ramifications of Wanton Waste. What I don't see the point of is the division amongst our ranks. If the OP broke the law....that's on him.
I had an old co-worker tell me one time....it's a heck of a lot easier to look out of a window than into a mirror.

The only reason I am upset about this thread is because for east,tx hunters like me we have to go pay upwards of $500+$gas+$food $etc to shoot a javelina on a south,tx ranch. And they are considered bush rats that are commonly just blown and thrown. In short....I'm jealous. Always wanted one on my wall
