First cool night of the year here so we opened the windows and slept under a blanket last night. Wife got up and closed the windows after the neighborhood dogs kept waking her up.

Missed the opener due to a business trip to South Korea. Missed the second weekend due to my brother's wedding. Needless to say...I am anxious to get out in the woods this coming weekend. Caleb will be in the driver's seat with his xbow or until he gives me the thumbs up to go solo. The forecast looks as if it will be nice this weekend, but this morning would have made for an awesome sit. Hope everyone has a great week...

Good luck to all the hunters heading out this weekend, be careful on those roadways and in them stands. Got a new place to go look at yesterday, close to a rock crusher and sand plant. The good part is they are closed on Saturdays.

Wife made some carne guisada from the recipe section today and it was over the top. She added cut up potatoes to ours with some diced tomatoes and added extra seasoning and I hurt myself trying to eat it all. I failed, still have plenty for lunch on Monday.

All dressed up today. I usually only wear a uniform during hurricane duty or funerals. Cold Case Unit is front and center today at a big shindig with the Sheriff.

Looking good Bobby!

Just got back safe and sound from my trip to Colorado, where we were elk hunting with my brother and dad. It was our first big game hunt where we were all together outside our ranch. It was an unbelievable experience from the relationship building experience. I know that many families don't have great relationships, and I am supremely blessed with a great family. I am truly grateful and thankful to God for the life he has given me.

We were very blessed on taking some beautiful animals as well. I couldn't have asked for a better trip.
