Well this sucks... Guess I better get all of my trips in up there in the next couple years.

Honestly, I have no problem with it as long as it is not right in the middle of town. Put it on a side street 3/4 mile out of town where I don't have to see it.

Sounds like a good destination for kids. And like they'll put in more quick food choices other than Whataburger for when I pass through.

Austin - Dripping Springs - Johnson City - Fredericksburg are already almost fully connected, and will be in 5 years.

Glad I got to visit/stay in Fredrickburg before it "was never the same again".

I remember when it was a great town to go through when hunting up there. Now I avoid it like the plague. Got some friends that have lived there their whole lives. They hate what it has grown into.

I, for one, am quite looking forward to visiting Fredricksburg's newest resident...

X2!! Our ranch is 30 miles North. I thought we were far enough away, now I’m not so sure...

I guess it was inevitable. And I'm guessing my land NW of Fredericksburg is about to take a jump in value and taxes

This will have little affect on Fredericksburg's miniature whitetails, schnitzel or peaches.
                      It's going to be ok.

If you don't think F'berg is already commercialized.....you aren't paying very close attention.

Wife lived there for 5 years after grad school. Man has that place changed since she left. It will help keep money flowing in, but I can't imagine too many of the Generational locals being too happy. But as time goes on, things change
Exactly what I was thinking....wont be long.

I don't guess I understand how this is going to be a bad thing. It is already one of the most commercialized destination towns in the State of Texas and that commercialization is what drives their towns economy. I would think that their town as a whole would be over the moon about this as "heads in beds" is what generates their income.

It's also what generally kills that "small town" feel that has become an integral part of its identity. I admit, it is a fine line to toe
