Hey, its TEXAS FOOTBALL. The season they tied with Florida for the national championship. Lol. Both teams had one loss to a conference rival on the road. Both beat a blue blood in a BCS Bowl. Both beat their common opponent by 10.

So much for not living in the past

The past will do until the present gets here. I have to admit, I watch a ton of old games (especially when the old lady ain’t around). In particular I enjoy watching the freshmen who saw playing time and eventually became stars.

Now it’s Texas vs Ohio State in Austin. The better half is out getting her hairs did.

The hold up of the decision of Judgement Day for Urban Meyer is: -Board of Trustees thinks there should be no punishment -President Drake wants punishment (suspension) for Urban Meyer -Urban Meyer will not accept suspension (fire me or I am coaching season opener)

Not sure on this site's source or voracity but something along these lines makes sense. I was suspecting the board of trustee's was who was split. Who know's, but it is certainly in Meyer's best interest for force them to fire him.

Wouldn't firing him pretty much seal the end of the pres? Or can he even get it done without support from the board? I don't know how that works.

It would be the president's decision but the president works at the pleasure of the board and if he isn't making decisions they like he could be looking for a job. I would imagine it's a back and forth, which means it's not clear cut and they are weighing costs.
